The forms are not part of the text, but are accessed via the bos™ blue information icon

They fall into two categories as follows:

'Green' form titles

A 'green' form title indicates an active form. This means that the form has the facility to be completed by the user and sent to the relevant body.

'Red' form titles

A 'red' form title indicates that the selected form can be viewed but cannot be completed.

With your electronic form open on screen, you may now begin to complete it for return. Each form is divided up into individual boxes or "fields", some of which can be filled with text ("fillable"), some of which are restricted – perhaps for official use only. Move your mouse pointer over the form. Notice that as you move your pointer over a "fillable" cell on the form, the mouse-pointer changes into a pen symbol." "

A single click with the left mouse button will select the current field in the form. The selected field will appear outlined in colour. You may now type directly into the form. To move to the next field in the form, use the tab key on the keyboard or simply select the required field by clicking with the mouse.

NOTE! If there are only a finite number of options within a particular field, for example a title field (containing either Mr, Mrs or Ms) - a menu will appear and allow you to select the appropriate response. Likewise, clicking a date field automatically enters today’s date, although this date can be edited.

When the Form is Filled…

Once completed the form may be printed for submission or even saved for future reference. Previously filled forms that have been saved in this way can be loaded again at a later date – effectively giving you the benefit of an archive copy.

Form filling 'tools' are provided for you to complete your electronic forms. These are found at the top of the screen and take the form of tool bar buttons. As you move the mouse cursor over each of the tool bar buttons, a short description of each function is displayed.

Allows you to open another form

 

Open

Once you have saved a form through form filler, you may retrieve it to continue work, or amend its details, by reopening it when you are in the form filling software.

 

Save

When you have completed a Form, it may be saved to a selected directory.

 

Zoom In & Zoom Out

Click on these buttons to increase and decrease the size of the form on screen.

 

Previous Page & Next Page

If the current form contains multiple pages, these buttons allow you to move back and forth through the available material.

Note! These buttons will not be available if it is a single page form or you are already viewing the first or last page.

Cut

To remove/delete unwanted text from the boxes within the form.

 

Copy

To copy text from one area of your form to another:

 

Paste

The Paste function returns text to the screen from the clipboard and may be used when copying or moving text:

 

Print

Allows you to print the current form. Bear in mind the forms are very complex images, and therefore sending the material to print may take a few minutes.

 

Print preview

This facility allows the overall layout of the form to be checked before it is sent to the printer.

 

Append extra page

This button will add an extra, unused page to any form for which additional space is required. Additional text can be entered into this page.
